Mykonos marina (locally known as the "New Port") is a partly finished marina which is located approximately 2 KM at the North of the old harbor and town of Mykonos. It is a very good wind shelter and very quiet, while it is a half an hour walk from the town.
There is no danger approaching there. Most of times there will be one or more large cruise ships moored outside the marina, helping you to identify it. You can enter from the SE, while the depths in the entrance are between 5 and 6 meters. There are 2-3 laid moorings at the breakwater section of the basin and 5-6 on either side of the concrete jetty. If they are occupied, yachts need to use their anchors, but very carefully as there are mooring chains along both sides of the basin. An alternative solution is to go outside of the basin, at the shore side. Depths here are above 3 meters, while along the jetty and breakwater range from 4.25 to 4.5 meters.
